Board of Directors 2019
The selection of the Board is a democratic process that operates with the best interests of our member/owners, community and environment in mind. They play an integral role in shaping the future direction of this progressive, dynamic, and caring organization. Three candidates have been presented by the Nominating Committee for each of the two seats on the Board of Directors.
Mr. Bell was born and raised in Escambia County, FL. He is a graduate of Pensacola High School and Pensacola State College. He attended the University of West Florida and is one of the proud members of the University’s “Charter Class.” Mr. Bell spent his career at the Florida DCF as a Human Resources Manager for 35 years. Mr. Bell has served on the FSEFCU Board of Directors for over 30 years, and looks forward to continuing to serve as a Director on the FSEFCU Board.
Mrs. Brown is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has been employed by the Florida DOC for over 33 years, and has served on the FSEFCU Board of Directors for over four years. In her spare time, Mrs. Brown serves on the Escambia and Santa Rosa County School Board, as well as many other local organizations. Mrs. Brown is eager to serve another term on the Florida State Employees Federal Credit Union
Raymond Mc Shane
Mr. Mc Shane is a Florida State University graduate. He recently retired from the Florida Department of Corrections after serving for 36 years, and now resides with his wife in NW Florida. Mr. Mc Shane has been a member of the Credit Union for over 35 years, and has been serving as a Board member for over 25 years. Mr. Mc Shane looks forward to continuing to serve as a Director on the FSEFCU Board for many years to come.
Credit Union members wishing to be considered for volunteer service to FSEFCU’s Board of Directors should review the information and procedures outlined below. In 2019, three positions on the Board of Directors will be up for re-election. According to the Florida State Employees Federal Credit Union bylaws, if only one person is nominated for each director position, no ballots will be mailed and no nominations will be accepted from the floor at the Annual Meeting. In that case, the nominees will be elected by acclamation. Board members are elected to three-year terms. Qualifications are determined by the Nominating Committee. Interested members can pick up a nomination packet at 1645 East Nine Mile Road. All completed petitions must be returned to Mrs. Malva Weaver, P.O. Box 1146, Gonzalez, FL 32560.
